Escrow

Regulated crypto escrow for high-value transactions

Tradevent acts as a neutral, regulated third party holding crypto assets until agreed conditions are met. No single party controls the funds — we do.

OVERVIEW

What is crypto escrow?

Crypto escrow eliminates the trust problem in high-value peer-to-peer transactions. Instead of one party transferring funds first — and hoping the other delivers — both parties agree to conditions in advance. Tradevent holds the funds in verified cold storage.

When the agreed conditions are confirmed, we release the funds to the seller. If there is a dispute, we mediate according to the terms agreed at the start. Neither buyer nor seller can access the funds unilaterally — only Tradevent, acting as the neutral third party, can authorise release.

We provide full on-chain and off-chain documentation at every stage. Every escrow engagement includes a signed agreement, blockchain confirmation, and a timestamped audit trail.

How it works

Four steps from agreement to release. Every stage is documented and confirmed by both parties before funds move.

STEP 01
AGREEMENT

Buyer and seller define terms

Asset, amount, conditions, and timeline — all in writing before any funds move. We issue a formal escrow instruction document that both parties review and sign. No ambiguity, no verbal agreements.

STEP 02
DEPOSIT

Buyer transfers to Tradevent escrow

The buyer transfers crypto to Tradevent's verified escrow wallet. Funds are confirmed on-chain and locked. Neither party can access or move the funds until conditions are met — only Tradevent holds the authorisation keys.

STEP 03
CONFIRMATION

Seller fulfils obligations

The seller completes their side of the agreement. The buyer reviews and confirms delivery. Both parties provide written sign-off through the Tradevent escrow portal. If a dispute arises, our mediation process begins.

STEP 04
RELEASE

Tradevent releases funds to seller

Within 24 hours of confirmed mutual agreement, Tradevent releases the funds to the seller's verified wallet. A final audit trail document is issued to both parties showing the complete transaction history, timestamps, and on-chain confirmation.

Common use cases

Anywhere high value changes hands and trust is uncertain — escrow is the answer.

Business acquisitions

Company share or asset transfers where both parties require verified third-party custody during the transition. We hold funds until all transfer documentation, legal sign-off, and ownership records are confirmed.

Freelance & service contracts

High-value freelance engagements where payment security protects both the client and the service provider. Milestone-based releases available — funds unlock as each project stage is confirmed complete.

Real estate & property

Crypto-denominated property transactions where regulatory compliance and condition-based release are required. We work alongside solicitors and conveyancers to align on-chain settlement with legal completion. Supported assets: BTC, ETH, USDT.
